Rachel Footman, OT Reg. (Ont.)
Rachel is a registered occupational therapist with 20 years of experience with a special interest in rehabilitation of the upper extremity and splinting. She graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville College, NY in 2002.
Rachel has experience working in the treatment of the upper extremity in acute care, rehab and outpatient settings with a focus on reactivation of the upper limb, functional grasp for activities of daily living, as well as resting and functional splinting. She provides a comprehensive assessment and assists clients with returning to functional independence through personalized treatments including splinting, exercise, modalities and education.
Over the course of her career, Rachel has completed her Basic Bobath Certification, she is an ADP authorizer, she has completed courses in modalities and Therapeutic Interventions for the total shoulder, elbow and wrist diagnoses.
Rachel is excited to be a part of the Wellington Hand Clinic team and looks forward to working with clients to maximize their independence.
